Dr. Rhonda Hatcher has been a mathematics professor at TCU since 1990. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder (B.A. in Mathematics, 1980) and Harvard University (Ph.D. in Mathematics, 1987). Her area of specialty is number theory. At TCU, she was the recipient of the 1997 Honors Program Faculty Award and the 2000 Chancellor’s Award for Distinguished Teaching. She was also awarded the 1998 Mathematical Association of American Award for Distinguished College or University Teaching of Mathematics and the 2000 Texas Professor of the Year of the Carnegie Foundation for Advancement of Teaching and Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
Dr. Hatcher has been the Faculty Athletics Representative of Texas Christian University since 1999. She has served on the AEC Cabinet, NCAA Academic Consultants, Division I Academic Cabinet, and the Football Academic Working Group. She is currently on the Division I Committee on Academics.
