
Trautman has been at BGSU since 1989 and her roles have included Associate Professor, Associate Dean, Director of Graduate Studies, Department Chair, and Faculty Athletics Representative. She has taught at the Bachelor, Masters and PhD levels, mostly related to visual cross-media, research, training and development, and applied learning. Donna is from Wellington, Ohio and earned a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in Industrial Technology. She taught at BGSU, Illinois State University and Ohio State prior to coming back to BGSU.
In addition to Donna’s academic contributions, she has been involved in athletics through a variety of roles over the years. She was selected as the recipient of the 2007-2008 Athletics Distinguished Service Award, and was board member and President of the Falcon Club. She has also served as a member of the Intercollegiate Athletic Committee and a Research sub-committee member. Currently she represents the MAC on the D1A FAR Board. As a BGSU Faculty Athletic Representative to the MAC/NCAA, Trautman helps to provide oversight of BGSU Athletics in terms of institutional control, academic integrity and student-athlete welfare.
