Chris B. Geyerman, Ph.D.

Chris B. Geyerman, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Communication Studies in the Department of Communication Arts and the NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative at Georgia Southern University. He teaches courses in media criticism, rhetorical criticism, rhetoric of social movements, rhetoric of international relations, philosophy of communication, general semantics and communication and conflict. His research interests include rhetorical and media criticism, cultural studies, the rhetoric of sports, and the rhetoric of social problems. Geyerman has been recognized as a University System of Georgia Governor’s Teaching Fellow by the Institute for Higher Education at the University of Georgia, and has received the Georgia Southern University Award for Excellence in Contributions to Service.
