Alyson Hagy is a Professor in the Creative Writing Program at the University of Wyoming. She is a graduate of Williams College (BA in English, 1982), where she played on the tennis team, and the University of Michigan (MFA in Creative Writing, 1985). The author of seven works of fiction, including the novel Boleto (Graywolf Press, 2012) and the story collection Ghosts of Wyoming (Graywolf Press, 2010), Hagy has served as the University of Wyoming’s Faculty Athletics Representative since 2006. She is the recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Christopher Isherwood Foundation and has been honored for excellence in teaching and research by the University of Wyoming. Her writing has received the Pushcart Prize, the Nelson Algren Award, and been included in Best American Short Stories.
